Carla Raises Over $55k for Cancer Support

On Friday 15 October, Big Mumma’s Italian Feast returned for its sixth year, and what a day it was! Hosted by Mummy’s Wish Ambassador and Place Estate Bulimba Agent, Carla Haddan, the event raised an outstanding $55,600 for Mummy’s Wish.

The sell-out event welcomed over 100 guests at one of Brisbane’s premier dining establishments, Tartufo, for a three-course Italian feast. Guests enjoyed vitello tonnato, filetto di maiale, and tartina di pera perfectly matched with leading wines from Italiquore.

The auction was live with enthusiasm, with amazing prizes including an original Joanna Davies artwork and a 3-night luxury retreat in the Currumbin Valley, generously donated by Eden Health Retreat and Rob Rowe from UNITA.

In between bids, attendees were treated to exclusive previews of two of Australia’s premier fashion labels Summer 2021-22 collections, White Label Noba and Samantha Ogilvie Boutique.

Competition was fierce for the amazing four-course lunch experience for ten at hatted-restaurant, The Long Apron, kindly donated by Greg Zappala from Ord Minnett and Spicers Retreat. In fact, the prize was so popular that a second dining experience was added to the auction on the day!

The mega raffle did not go amiss, with over $14,500 worth of prizes up for grabs, including a gorgeous Mariana Jewellery Set donated by Tracey Mathers!

Wrapping up the evening was the much anticipated Gucci Bag Raffle Draw, which was kindly donated by HopgoodGanim Lawyers. From the draw alone, over $55,600 was raised, taking the fundraising total to over $338000. This could not have been achieved without HopgoodGanim Lawyers’ ongoing generosity.
