When it comes to fighting ‘the big C’, the more people you have on your side, the better but we understand that treatment schedules and geographical distance can make it tricky to connect with other mums with cancer.

To help create a supportive community, Mummy’s Wish has created a closed Facebook support group for registered mums that can be accessed from any physical location, at any time of the day. It’s our very own online ‘mum’s group’.

Much like when you had your first baby, you’re entering a new world where emotions are high, sleep can be minimal and there will be times when you feel like you won’t ever find your way out of the tunnel and back into the sunshine, so finding other mums who are—or have been—in the same situation to share these worries and fears with can be a huge relief.

Members introduce themselves, often summarising their diagnosis and treatment experiences, and sharing their feelings in this friendly, supportive environment. It is an ideal forum to express concerns, ask questions and offer tips and feedback on the one common theme—being a mum with cancer. Only other members of the group can read your posts—your friends and family outside of the closed group can’t see anything you have written there.

Click here to visit the Mummy’s Wish Private Mums’ Group Facebook page and then click on the button to join the group (you will need to be approved by our Moderator), however the group is open to any Australian mums (with children under 12 years of age) with any form of cancer who have registered with Mummy’s Wish.

We look forward to your joining us in this forum and hope you’ll find friendship, support and a few giggles.
